About this game

Zach is a broke college freshman coasting through life when he downloads a phone app called re:/Dreamer. The app has world-bending powers, and before he finishes the tutorial he's accidentally flipped himself into a sexy young woman. Worse, the only way back is to win the game, and the game does not play fair. A flaky in-game AI is his only guide, and he's allowed exactly one friend to bring in on the secret. The MTF transformation is reversible in theory, but every quest the app sets nudges him further from the version of himself that wants to change back. Lose and he stays a woman. 2DCG art, school setting, mobile-game framing, and a tag list spanning teasing, masturbation, virgin and lesbian routes. A clean gender bender porn game with stakes that actually mean something, not just a one-scene TG flip.

Developer Notes

As of 0.4.4, each release's route flowchart is bundled as a .png or .svg with the release, but flowcharts for the releases since 0.7.0 are here on Dropbox. Natalie.TF has also provided a helpful player-focused flowchart in her glowing review of 0.15.0 here that should give a general outline for the routes. About the Length: This visual novel is currently between 30 and 45 hours as of 0.16.1. These numbers are based on a roughly 375k word count within dialogue blocks, an overall word count of 589k in the /story folder based on every string of text, and an average non-technical English reading speed of 200-250 words per minute, but re:/Dreamer's design of micro-branches everywhere, a stat that makes the game more verbose, and the optional but very extensive world information make the reading time impossible to accurately estimate over every route.

Characters

Zach Taylor, the protagonist of this story, is a smugly intelligent but neurodivergent introvert who feels like he doesn't know who he is. After a gap year taken to find his identity, he's now a freshman mechanical engineering student at a large university in Portland, OR. He spends his idle time searching for new and obscure phone games to play as F2P user on a broke college student lifestyle. Zoey Taylor, the name that got thrust upon the woman Zach turned into, is a smugly intelligent but neurodivergent introvert who feels like she doesn't know who she is, but she's going to have to find out soon. Ai is the unreliable and mischievous A.I. that came with Zach’s copy of re:/Dreamer. She seems to treat this all as one big game, though it probably is just that for her. Ai appears to have her head in the gutter 24/7 and seems to take great pleasure in teasing Zach. It remains to be seen if Zach can trust her. Britney is a dorky young-adult blonde white girl and anime/game/cosplay otaku from Austin, Texas who is quite attractive but abrasive if you can't keep up with her pace. She and Zach met in high school and bonded over their similar taste in anime and phone gacha. She is also Zach's only female friend. Keisuke is Zach's childhood friend and neighbor. Despite being opposites, the two have been best friends since they were little kids. He's an athletic prodigy and social butterfly who gets along well with the ladies, despite being a blunt meathead. Though their personalities have diverged since they were kids, they've known each other for a very long time and have a strong bond of trust.
